HTR Doubles Down for Lucus Oil Modified Series in 2011

H-Town Racing will be running the Lucas Oil Modified series presented by Rockstar energy Drinks for the full 2011 campaign. The team will be fielding two cars for the entire schedule.

Veteran driver Pat Petrie Jr. will be piloting the number 1 car that was built by Howe Racing Enterprises and designed by Dana Stahl. Series rookie Tom Pfundstein will be driving the #1H, Chuck Wahl Chassis modified, with power from Wicked Horse Power of Las Vegas. Both with support of Crew Chief Joe Petrie, who has been named the NASCAR Wheelen Mechanic of the year at the Bullring at Las Vegas’ Motor speedway for the past 3 seasons, along with the support of Sonny Wahl of Wahl Traction, providing the shock services for the entire schedule. As well as Tire specialist Dave Readon , and the rest of the H-Town Crew, Jeff Bargerhuff, Sonny Lampkey, Kevin Terell, Josh Gross, Constatine Pappas, and Ann Petrie.

When the green flag falls on the Lucas Oil Modified Series, presented by Rockstar Energy Drink, 2011 season there is going to be a lot of excitement in the air for a lot of very positive reasons. The highly competitive open wheel series will officially kick off their sixth race season on the evening of March 26th at the Havasu 95 Speedway in Lake Havasu City-Arizona.

By the time the series winds down for the season, in early November, they will have visited five different speedways in three different states. That includes visits to a pair of new racing venues this year: the Toyota Speedway at Irwindale, the fastest half mile oval in the southwest, as well as the Madera Speedway, the fastest one third mile oval in the west.

But the really big news from this series is the creation of a trio of events featuring lucrative purses in excess of $10,000. The first two races, of the series’ lucrative trifecta, involves the recent creation of the first annual Dart Machinery LTD North-South Shootout. This spectacular points series, within a series, will pit the talents of the Lucas Oil-Rockstar Energy Drink Series teams, currently racing in southern California, Arizona and Nevada, against their equally talented modified racing contemporaries from northern California and Washington. Hence the name North-South Shootout.

Both of the drivers and crew are looking forward to a great 2011 season!
