Petrie’s Salute

This past weekend the H-Town Racing Super Late Model, driven by Jim Petrie, carried a tribute to Sergeant First Class Donald Petrie and all serving our country in the U.S. armed forces, It was in honor of the Memorial Day Holiday. SFC Petrie has been serving his country for the last 10 years in the U.S. Army as an Explosive, Ordinance, and Disposal specialist (E.O.D). SFC Petrie has been deployed to Iraq twice and served in Afghanistan as well. “We just wanted to show our appreciation to our troops and our bother this week, it takes a special person to dedicate his life to the freedom of others” said Jim Petrie.

The numbers were changed to the traditional Army camouflage and a tribute the little brother was placed on the hood. “ Our team has a lot of ties to the military, my father, Pat Petrie Sr. served in the Air National Guard, one of the modified drivers, Tom Pfundstein is a Vietnam veteran, as well as my father in law, Ed Feldman, who served 0ver 25 years in the Air Force” said Pat Petrie Jr., the teams second modified driver.
