Busy Weekend for H -Town

H-Town racing had a busy weekend at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

This past weekend the drivers and crew for H-Town racing were very busy. The team fielded five cars out of the H-Town shop. The Lucas Oil Modified series presented by Rock Star, was visiting the Bullring for race number 7 of the series. The team fielded four cars in that division, Pat Petrie in the number 1 car, Tom Pfundstein in the 1H , Jim Petrie in the 5, and Bear Reznowiecky in the 95.

The weekend started off Friday with practice and the 95 car of Reznowiecky was fast right out of the gate, the number 5 car of Jim Petrie was solid but need a little bit of tuning, and Pfundstein need as many laps as he could get in the seat of his new lefthander modified, to get comfortable with the big engine. The number 1 modified of Pat Petrie had tranny issues and the crew had to swap the transmission. At the end of the night Friday everthing seemed to be on track for a decent weekend,

Saturday, the 22 car modified field took the green and the the 1 of Pat Petrie finished 10th, the 1H oh Pfundstein was 14th, ,while the 5 of Jim Petrie made an early exit due to overheating issues and ended up 20th, the 95 of Reznowiecky was running a solid 6th when his night came to an end with motor issues as well. “Overall it wasn’t a bad night, we could have qualified better but the race went fairly well, and we will build on it for the next race at I10 speedway in Blyth on October 1st “ said Pat Petrie.

Jeff Bargerhuff was scheduled to pilot the number 1 NASCAR Charger but was unable to do so due to a sore neck that was a result of a crash in the Super Late Model on September 3rd. Mario Opipari, who normally drive the Performance Plus, Pickart’s Radiator number 53 drove the car. Mario finished took home a 2nd place finish.
